AGRO LAND AGRO LAND

In 2016, Agro Land identified a suitable region for growing almonds and found an ideal plot of land (500 hectares) in the Kakheti region, in the village of Bodbe, Sighnaghi Municipality.

Works performed:

  • Defining a region for an almond orchard

  • Agro-technical assessment of land

  • Taking GPS points

In the first phase of the project, in order to select the ideal environment and soil for planting an almond orchard, the company's experts provided an assessment of the agro-technical characteristics of the soil, which included: Detailed study of terrain, soil cover, erosion risk, climate, prevailing winds, windbreak (status / need), swamping, groundwater, irrigation capacity, adjacent plots, soil and irrigation pH and EC, other hazards and risk points.

The obtained conclusion determined the potential of the land plot for almond cultivation, as well as the risks in the process of conducting agribusiness on the plot.

As part of the project, Agro Land experts used GPS systems to determine the exact points for almond cultivation and mark them.
