Obtaining a bore-hole water intake license

In 2019-2020, Green Steps obtained a bore-hole water intake license for a 50-hectare hazelnut orchard in the village of Bodbe, Sighnaghi Municipality, Kakheti region.

The project involved the company's geologists, geoinformation systems specialists, hydrologists, ecologists and agro-engineers, who conducted a detailed survey of the area and conducted field surveys to obtain a license.

Works performed:

• Determine the amount of water needed for the activity
• Determine the required location for the bore-hole
• Prepare relevant documentation to obtain a license
• Obtaining a license to use groundwater for irrigation purposes

The client received the relevant permit from the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture to carry out the planned activities.
